How to write a product purchase request for Armenia
Specify the product, quantity, destination and required date. Ask for an itemised quote that separates the goods from delivery and other charges, and identifies what still needs confirmation.

What should a purchase request include?
A request for quotation (RFQ) asks a seller to price a defined requirement. It is most useful when every seller receives the same specification. If you are still choosing a product, state which details are fixed and where you want alternatives.
| Detail | What to specify | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Product and specification | Model, material, dimensions, grade or required function; acceptable substitutes. | Avoids comparing different products. |
| Quantity and unit | Pieces, kilograms or cartons; units per carton and repeat-order needs. | Makes unit prices and minimum orders comparable. |
| Destination | Country and city, such as Yerevan, Armenia; collection or delivery. | Delivery scope changes the cost and feasibility. |
| Timing | Required arrival date, flexibility and whether a sample is needed first. | Dispatch time is not the same as arrival time. |
| Quote format | Currency, unit price, delivery, other charges, validity and payment terms. | Shows which amounts and conditions remain unknown. |
A request template you can adapt
Replace the bracketed fields before sending. Use the same version for each seller so that changes in a quotation are visible.
We are looking for [product and specification], quantity [number and unit], for delivery to [city, country] by [date]. Alternatives are [acceptable/not acceptable, with conditions]. Please quote the unit price and currency, minimum order, delivery cost, other included or excluded charges, expected dispatch and arrival dates, payment terms, quote validity, and the process for defects or returns. Please identify anything that still needs confirmation.
What can stay open at the inquiry stage?
You can ask about options without committing to a purchase. A budget range can help a seller propose alternatives, but label it as a target rather than an agreed price. For an initial inquiry, a city and country are enough: do not include identity documents, bank details or a precise street address.
What changes for a cross-border purchase?
Identify the seller’s dispatch country as well as the destination. Ask who will arrange transport and which documents and charges the quotation includes. Product-specific import requirements must be checked before any commitment; this checklist does not establish eligibility to import a product into Armenia.
